Pittsburgh is known for a lot of different musical artists, from the likes of Wiz Khalifa to Mac Miller. A rising artist from the Pittsburg area, that's been receiving a lot of exposure is Jimmy Wopo.
Jimmy Wopo started rapping when he was just 14 years old, but the two songs that really allowed the Pittsburg native to breakout was Walkn Bomb (stunna diss) and his single Elm Street. Both songs has over a million plays on Youtube.
After releasing his single Elm Street, Jimmy Wopo has released 5 different mixtapes. His latest and most successful mixtape was released in 2017, titled Back Against The Wall.
In 2017, Jimmy Wopo was arrested for probation violation but he hasn't let that hold him back. While locked up Jimmy Wopo continued to write music. In interview with XXL magazine, Wopo confirmed that while locked up, he wrote 10 new songs. He released one of those songs in 2017, titled First Day Out.
Jimmy Wopo is looking to start 2018 off with an impact. He is set to release another mixtape soon, recently he tweeted that a new release date will be coming for his 6th mixtape. His mixtape was suppose to release on March 24th but he announced that the mixtape is still under construction. Check out the tweet from his twitter page below.
In his lifetime, Jimmy Wopo has overcame a lot of adversity. Now, he looks to become the next big star out of Pittsburgh.
